Water quality
Activities
The project involved a series of structured activities designed to ensure accurate data collection, analysis, and interpretation. The first phase consisted of selecting multiple sampling locations across Constanța and its surrounding areas, ensuring a representative distribution that included urban, peri-urban, and potentially vulnerable zones. Water samples were collected and each sample was then subjected to physicochemical analysis using calibrated instruments and laboratory techniques. Parameters measured included pH, oxidation-reduction potential (ORP), temperature, salinity, electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids (TDS), nitrates, nitrites, phosphates, and concentrations of selected metals.
The data obtained from laboratory measurements were recorded, processed, and statistically analyzed in order to performe comparative analysis to identify differences and trends between locations.
We took a look at the existing water quality standards and guidelines to assess compliance levels, and a filtering system was developed in lab conditions.
