Baltic Sea Coastline environment – Iluț Beatrice-Delphina-Izabela

By visiting the enchanting city of Gdynia, we were given the chance to explore the unique environment of the Baltic Sea. Living next to the Black Sea, I was quite used to the salty aroma in the air however, when walking on the pier in Gdynia, this breeze hit me instantly and vigorously. The Baltic Sea coastline in Poland is generally composed of dunes and black lagoons not to far away from the aspect of moors. The Vistula River drains into the Baltic through a number of distributaries; among these, the historic city of Gdańsk lies on the most westerly of these, the Motława . Gdańsk is also known for its shipyard and the revolution that took place during the communist period, where many people died for no pupose.
The Baltic Sea is one of the youngest formed seas, and like most, suffers from problems pollution, overfishing. The students with we have cooperated during the length of our stay there are fighting these issues by having an air pollution sensor installed in their school & spreading awareness. Nonetheless, the beauty of this environment should be preserved for its uniqueness and diversity.
