COLEGIUL NAȚIONAL ”UNIREA” BRAȘOV


During the first weeks of our project we (students and teachers) attended a meeting with a school member of NEBS, focused on ocean literacy and we try to find out the connection that inland schools, like ours, can identify in order to promote ocean/ water conservation and to raise the awareness of our local community regarding the environmental issues that we can address.

The next step we took was to create the project team, with students that will be in charge of the main activities. We design our identity logo, brainstorming on the connection between the local mountain environment and the water.

After that we contacted our local WWF that provided information about the relevant topics we can address, and the students prepared the documentation that will be displayed during the next project activities. During the meetings with WWF representatives, the students had the chance to have their ideas clarified and to set the new objectives for the next school year, focused on what kind of water analysis/ monitoring they will performed and how are they going to integrate the water biodiversity assessment in their observations.

The outcomes (until now) of the projects are: the project team is coagulated and the tasks are set, we had done the documentation part and we prepared the ecosystem observation protocols, we start designing the project identity elements.
